Bradley Cooper Selling Longtime Los Angeles Bungalow for $2.4 Million

The A-list actor bought the well-secluded home in the beachside neighborhood Venice nearly 20 years ago
A-list actor Bradley Cooper has launched his charmingly idyllic hideaway in the coastal Los Angeles neighborhood of Venice onto the market for $2.4 million after calling it home for almost 20 years.

The Oscar-nominated star snapped up the 1920s bungalow in 2004 for just under $1.2 million, property records show.
The two-bedroom house is super private—a top-priority amenity for celebrities—thanks to its lush landscaping, which does the double duty of shielding the place from prying eyes while simultaneously making it look like something out of a storybook.

Inside, the natural aesthetic continues. Mr. Cooper, 48, worked with interior designer Santillana de Chanaleilles to style the space, which features details like reclaimed-wood ceilings and concrete floors.
“This residence is one of a kind,” said listing agent Diana Braun of Compass in an emailed statement. She brought the home to the market last week.

In classic California style, indoor/outdoor living reigns throughout.

French doors open up to the outdoors and flood the property with light, particularly in the hub of the home, which is an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space complete with an oversized concrete breakfast bar and a fireplace.

In the primary bedroom suite, a huge wall of glass folds back to give access to the garden. Other features include a towering cathedral ceiling and a spa-like bathroom with terracotta tiling, a black metal-framed shower and a clawfoot bathtub.
The house is “situated in an ideal spot for those who enjoy the California beach lifestyle,” said Ms. Braun, who highlighted the exterior amenities including a fire pit, a hot tub and an outdoor living space.

Nestled at the back of the garden, meanwhile, is a detached structure that provides “the perfect bonus room for an office, home gym or living space,” the listing said.

A representative for the actor, who has starred in movies including “The Hangover,” “Silver Linings Playbook” and “A Star is Born,” did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
